Oh no. Here comes Google with another attempt to take over the world and have us store all our data on their networks. And they expect me to replace my desktop with their little netbook.

STOP! WAIT! Uh-uh!!!

Chrome OS doesn't limit you to Goggle-only web-apps! It exposes you into the FREE world of web-apps all across the Web. Do you know how many companies have the same service as Google? You're not restricted from using them. You're not even restricted to using Google as a default search engine!

And NO! Chrome OS doesn't replace your desktop. It frees you from it without putting you out of sync! You don't buy a bicycle to replace your car. You use it so you don't waste gas, get exercise, enjoy the beautiful day, go where cars can't. You don't get a portable DVD-player to replace your TV. You take it with you and watch movies. You buy a netbook to take to work, to school, to coffeeshops, etc.

Google isn't trying to spy on you. Microsoft already makes it possible with all the spyware and trojans you have on your Windows right now! And you're probably sending me spam and don't even know it! Bozo!

iPod replaced portable CD-players. Chrome OS will replace all the rest. Just kidding. But Chrome OS does offer a lot! Because the web offers a lot! Naturally. And without sending strangers spam!

I'm excited. And you should be, too. Just picture yourself moving through the web at the speed of Chrome. :)
